Season One Games:

Red Light, Green Light:

The players stand on a field with a giant robot doll facing them. When the doll says "green light" (accompanied by a traditional Korean rhyme), the players can move forward. When it says "red light", the doll turns around and they must remain still. Anyone who makes the slightest movement is eliminated, which in their case ends in death.

Candy Carving:

The players are given a Korean candy called dalgona, which has a thin pattern in the middle (such as a star, circle, triangle, or umbrella). Their task is to use a needle to cut out the pattern without breaking the candy. If the candy breaks, they are eliminated, which is a death sentence for them.

Tug of War:

Two teams compete on a high platform. The goal is to pull the opposing team over the center line, causing them to fall. Although the game is primarily based on physical strength, strategic tricks (such as the team's coordinated tilts) can also be used to increase the chances of victory.

Glass Ball:

Players are divided into pairs and play various glass ball games. The only rule is that someone must get all of their partner's glass balls. The tools and rules are left to the players, which can lead to emotional conflicts, especially when close friends or spouses are pitted against each other.

Glass Bridge:

Players walk across a long, floating bridge made of two types of glass: fragile and safe. Players fall when stepping on fragile tiles. Progression is initially a matter of guesswork, but later, under time pressure, players are forced to make risky decisions.

Season 2 Games (Supposed Games):

Preliminary announced games and elements for the second season bring new excitement and strategy to the series. The creators promise that these will continue to be based on children's games from Korean culture, with deadly twists.

Djakji

Ddakji:

This game was also featured in the first season as part of the recruitment process. Players use folded pieces of paper, and their goal is to flip their opponent's piece of paper by hitting one of their own. While it may seem simple, it requires quick reaction times and skill.

Flying Stone:

Players must throw a stone at a designated target area. The challenge is to make sure the throw is accurate and the stone stays in the air for a certain amount of time before reaching the target.

Gong-gi:

This traditional Korean game uses small pebbles or plastic pieces. Players toss the pebbles one at a time and then catch them in various sequences. The second season will likely combine this childhood game with deadly rules.

Spinning Top:

Players spin spinning tops, and the goal is to keep theirs spinning or knock the opponent's spinning top out of the designated area. This game can require skill and quick thinking, especially when combined with deadly stakes.

Jegi

Jegi:

Jegi is a badminton-like game in which the goal is to keep the jegi in the air with your feet for as many strokes as possible. This game is likely to go from being a light-hearted pastime to a nerve-wracking, fateful test.

What's new in season two:

The show's creators promise more psychological drama and strategic challenges for viewers. In addition to the new games, we can expect deeper insight into the organizers' motivations, and character development will also be emphasized.

Both seasons of "Squid Game" are not only about physical survival, but also about testing human relationships, moral dilemmas, and the nature of power.
